Audio w/ pics of San Clemente, CA CPUC Smart Meter Opt-out Fees Public Participation Meeting (PPH) held on Dec. 18, 2012, w/ an overflow crowd, scores of speakers decrying smart meters and fees, describing serious illnesses and privacy concerns. Virtually all were against opt-out fees, demanding no fees and banning smart meters.
This meeting was one of five similar meetings held in December, throughout California. At least 100 people attended, with approx 45 speakers who passionately described serious illnesses and other objections to smart meters, before an impassive Administrative Law Judge Amy Yip- Kikugawa, for the CPUC. Speakers were only given 2 minutes each and the meeting was cut off early without good reason, to the objections of the audience, after 1 1/2 hours, though it was to have lasted 2 hours.
