Aug. 7th, to vote on a 5G small cell wireless ordinance for the unincorporated areas of the County, certain to have very negative health, safety, and environmental effects, and be a model for other communities, unless action is taken.

What can you do?
- WRITE Consider sending this form letter (or your own version), betweeen Aug. 1 to Aug. 6th, to all five San Diego County Supervisors to let them know what is needed in the final 5G small cell wireless (SCW) ordinance they will vote on, August 7th, 2019, or submit a comment online to the Board of Supervisors.
- SHARE this info widely with all you know, on social media and email lists, and person-to-person
- MEET with or CALL your County Supervisor to express your opinions on whether you want hazardous microwave-emitting 5G small cells appearing in front of your home or close to your child’s school, daycare, preschool, local parks, or sportsfields.
- ATTEND THE BOS MEETING AUG. 7 We strongly urge you to attend the meeting and speak. Sign up to speak at the meeting before 9 AM. Plan on speaking for 2 minutes, possibly 3. If you are with a community group of 3 or more, you may all have 15 minutes total. Call ahead to check. Note: Agenda Item 6 is the last one to be heard that day. Place: County Administration Building, 1600 Pacific Hwy, 1st floor, San Diego. Park in the parking garage on W. Ash Street around the corner.
- ATTEND A RALLY BEFORE THE BOS MEETING – A “Stop 5G California” rally will be held 8:00 – 8:45 AM (just before the BOS meeting) at the County Administration Building, 1600 Pacific Hwy, San Diego, facing Pacific Hwy by the front entrance. Signs provided or bring your own – just come and bring some friends and family!
Note: if you are electrosensitive: there may be small cells in downtown San Diego nearby and there is wifi in the County Admin Building. Take necessary precautions. The Board of Supervisors will determine the final local wireless ordinance for the 5G rollout and installation of small cells throughout the unincorporated area of the County, set to impact at least a million residents and recreational visitors, in addition to all animals and wildlife in the large region. Whether or not you live in the unincorporated area of San Diego County, which comprises at least 3/4 of the County (3572 sq. miles), or are one of its half million residents, a future resident, or one of its millions of visitors each year, you will want to ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all biological beings, not limited to humans, agricultural animals, pets, and wildlife in the unincorporated area.

Two Versions of San Diego County Small Cells Wireless (SCW) Ordinances Being Considered
ACTION ALERT! San Diego County Board of Supervisors’ will consider, modify and vote, or vote to accept one of two proposed small cell wireless ordinances, developed over the past six months with community input. The San Diego County Planning Dept (more industry-friendly) disagrees with the County Commissioners (more resident-friendly) and thus, there are two ordinances being proposed for the unincorporated areas of the County.
