RF Measuring Devices:

Favorite RF meters: [Be sure to buy a RF field meter with range up to 8 GHz  or 10 GHz, to detect all wireless frequencies.]

TES92 or TES593 on Ebay.

The TES92 (same as in video), is a good, basic RF meter, but it has a limited frequency range of up to 3.5GHz, so it will not detect new iPads and other devices that use the higher WiFi bands; it will also not detect certain cordless phones.

The TES593 is now the preferred RF meter for testing, as it covers all wireless devices

CEP Note: TenMars TM-196 and Acoustimeters are also RF meters that are preferred and reach into the 8-10 GHz range, which includes the newer Wi-Fi frequencies.

For Advocacy Work:

Certain RF meters have the ability to replicate the radiation signature and intensity with audio. This means you can “hear” the radiation. The entire line of Gigahertz Solutions RF meters,  the Acoustimeter, [CEP note: and the TenMars meters] have this function. Just buying a meter that makes sound without providing the numbers is not advisable.

BioInitiative 2012 authors recommend an exposure level of no more than 3 microwatts per meter squared (or 0.0003 microwatts per centimeter squared) for sensitive populations, which include children. Suggestion: set the alarm threshold for this measurement.
